Kehkashan Basu is a United Nations Human Rights Champion & Founder-President of Green Hope Foundation. She is a peace & social justice crusader, author, musician & passionate advocate for the Sustainable Development Goals, nuclear disarmament, children's rights & gender equality. She is the youngest recipient of Canada's Top 25 Women of Influence and Winner of the 2016 International Children's Peace Prize. Her organization works in 16 countries to empower young people and women, especially those in vulnerable communities in the sustainable development process. Kehkashan has just been named one of the Top 100 SDG Leaders in the world and is the recent recipient of the inaugural Voices of Youth Award for her work to educate and engage thousands of youth around the world on the urgent need to abolish nuclear weapons.
